Ezra Taft Benson was the 13th President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the 15th United States Secretary of Agriculture. Benson served as the Secretary of Agriculture and as an Apostle for the LDS church simultaneously. Benson was a strong supporter of the John Birch Society, though not a member.
